(Second in our series featuring the Top 10 Independent Electronic Music Productions from Singapore-based artists in 2020)
FINESITE is a young Singaporean electronic musician who has been prolific in producing original electronic music, remixes and covers this year on his YouTube channel while balancing his university studies at NUS (National University of Singapore). He also shares production tips and performs live in concert and in livestreams with the NUS Electronic Music Lab (NUS EML http://nuseml.com). Also, his name is not pronounced "fine-site" - check his YouTube channel to hear the correct pronunciation!

How would you describe your music?
Electronic Pop! It's my fresh take on the "radio classics" of the 2010s.
What hardware and software do you use?
Hardware: Novation Launchkey 61
Software: Ableton Live 10 Suite
VSTs like Kontakt/Sylenth1
What inspired you to make this music and what keeps you going this year?
I was just wondering how my favorite songs of the 2010s would sound like if I put my own little spin on them, and it just became its own thing haha.
It's really fun to produce while in the downtime of studying as it's productive procrastination amidst COVID stresses - but what really keeps me going is seeing the productions getting better and better consistently over time for me! Also it's good to pass time hehe.
About this blog series
This year, despite (or because?) all of the restrictions to our music scene, Singapore-based electronic musicians produced a LOT of interesting electronic music. This blog series is our non-scientific attempt to showcase some of our favourites from 2020. This list is not exhaustive and we reserve the right to add to it any time we like!
